DLBP is very pleased to have secured planning permission, on behalf of Hamberley Care Homes, to install entrance gates to Brookwater House Care Home in Palmers Green, London.
Brookwater House Care Home provides high-quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a safe environment. It provides a range of services and amenities, including a café, hair and beauty salon, and cinema, that allow all residents, staff and visitors to enjoy fulfilled lives as part of a vibrant community.
Since opening in July 2023, Brookwater House experienced instances of unexpected visitors entering the site via the main car park entrance and attempting to undertake criminal activity. To improve the safety and security of the care home, Hamberley sought DLBP’s assistance to secure permission for the installation of new gates to better control visitor access.
DLBP worked closely with Hamberley, WLS Ltd and PRP to prepare a scheme that was both in-keeping with the area’s character, and sufficiently secure to serve the needs of the care home. Once submitted, we worked closely with the London Borough of Enfield to address all queries raised through to a receiving a positive outcome.
