DLBP due diligence identifies emerging risks for our clients

DLBP has extensive experience identifying risks resulting from emergent planning legislation and policy.  We constantly remain live to changes to relevant legislation, and monitor for policy updates across national and local scales to ensure we can advise on the implications of these changes to current and future proposals.

In the last six weeks alone, DLBP has worked on behalf of clients with an interest in two separate local authority areas with newly published draft Local Plans.  Deploying our expertise in critically reviewing local development plans and their supporting evidence bases, we have conducted a full analysis for each authority, and submitted formal representations challenging the approaches proposed.  In both cases, we have robustly argued that the draft Local Plans as prepared are contrary to the National Planning Policy Framework, and promoted our clients sites for allocation within the plans.

DLBP will continue to engage with both local authorities as these Local Plans progress through the examination process, and we look forward to continue working with other clients on similar proposals too.
