DLBP secures planning permission for external plant to improve quality of care home

DLBP is extremely pleased to have secured permission, on behalf of Care UK, for changes to external plant – including air conditioning units and associated fencing – to an existing care home in Sale.

This application sought approval for three replacement air conditioning units that were proposed to minimise noise emissions, in the interest of protecting the amenity of residents and neighbours.

DLBP led on the preparation of this application by, firstly, coordinating and chairing meetings with neighbours and the Council to understand their concerns regarding the existing plant.

Following this, DLBP worked closely with SLR Consulting to devise a number of potential solutions, which we then relayed to neighbours and the Council to review and agree a preferred option.  This engagement process helped to ensure the proposed solution was acceptable for all parties, and also minimised the risk that the application would be refused.

We were therefore delighted to receive a positive decision within the 8 week determination period.
